25-09-01 Season Five, Six and Stargate: The Directors Cut
- On a recent visit to Showfax.com a new episode title has been revealed. The casting sheet is for an episode titled, Meridian. The Episode which is most likely from Season five features the characters Liander, Oma, Tomis and Scientist. The first three names look very much like Tollanic names. However, they could very well be names which are not in any way connected to Tollana. The name Oma almost seems very evil and if there is to be a Villian among these characters Oma would be top of the list.
The part for the new Goa'uld Anubis is now being cast as indicated by Showfax casting sheet for the Episode, Revelations, which is the season 5 finale and the first on screen appearance of Anubis. Other characters on the casting sheets are Jaffa#1,2 and 3. Which suggests that Anubis will have three Jaffa accompanying him. The character of Anubis has only been seen once in the history of Stargate. Ra's champion, in the film, bore the helmet of Anubis, however his downfall was swift after a brief battle with Colonel O'Neill and since then we haven't heard of him.
- The word going round the net at the moment is that Michael Shanks is leaving Stargate SG-1 after Season 5. The character of Daniel Jackson will leave SG-1, but will continue to make guest appearances on the show. The idea is that Daniel will still be apart of the Stargate saga, but will not be on SG-1 any more. The news comes directly from Brad Wright who apparently made the announcement at this years Gatecon in Vancouver.
